A gift economy is a wonderful concept that, unfortunately, many are not able to comprehend due to the constant self-focus of endless profit and greed promoted within society.
The ability to easily give on Steemit was one of the primary aspects that brought me to the platform.
As the "sharing" level of consciousness becomes more common on planet Earth, more people will flock to this way of living and discern its power.

Thank you @d-pend, couldn't agree more. The power of the gift is great indeed but most of us are not used to that way of living. Been working with integrating gift economy in my life for a long time, hosting gift circles, gift shops and just giving without asking for anything in return. Now it's time to bring the spirit of the gift to the Steem blockchain which will surely make our community increasingly connected and resilient! :)
