Does it have a kinda drying effect on your mouth when you eat them. Not that way in the juice,, just the raw berries. I know another plant that we call sun berry which is not the same as the chokecherry. The Latin name is Prunus Virginiana
The one we call sun berry have the latin name: Ribes nigrum. Maybe a different type?
I think so. that's the trouble with using common names, plants can easily get confused
