MY ENTRY TO @KNOWLEDGE-SEEKER HOMESTEAD PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
My entry to @knowledge-seeker White On The Homestead Photography Contest it's our flock of Pekin Ducks.
We started out with three ducks and have been incubating eggs. Got up to 12 but had a little problem with predators so now we are down to 9.
The reason we have Ducks is for their eggs, meat and there love of slugs. There's a saying in permaculture that goes like this "you don't have a slug problem you have a not enough duks problem". If we are having a problem with slugs in one of our gardens we release the Ducks for the day in that area so they can eat up the Slugs. Be sure to keep an eye on them when doing this. When they eat up all the Slugs they will start eating some of your garden next.

Wow, this makes me want to learn photography
I heard of using guineas for tick control, but I never knew that ducks could be used for slug control. That is very interesting and a very sustainable solution to a problem. Great Job!
