Yes, in Sri Lanka people treated monkey not nice
But you know in India Hindus worship a monkey as their God as per the myth, Did you heard about Hanuman. Especially in north one could find gigantic sized idol in many religious locations as big as 41 meters the tallest.
Sorry, I couldn't distinguish the difference between those two as just scrolled it over.

Oh...No need to think like that.....All those photos have its own charmness....It was good see those innocent faces of the creatures which is believing to from where human being transformed into....
