If you have not seen the fight and want to see the fight. Stop reading now. turn back.

I woke up early in order to watch this fight... 3 hours earlier than I needed to and while a lot of the undercards were pretty nice, I don't know if it was worth it. I will once again say to turn back to anyone that has not seen this or cares so much that they want to see the fight for themselves before hearing me talk about it.

I neither like nor dislike McGregor. I acknowledge what it is that he has done for the sport but for the most part I want him to get beat because of his mouth. He turned the MMA (UFC) into WWE by making the entire thing a sport of whoever talks the biggest talk gets to walk the biggest walk. This is evident in all the other divisions where a loud-mouthed 9 seed will all of a sudden get a title shot just based on how they speak rather than working their way up the ranks. This is unfair to non-native-english speakers and also throws mud in the face of the ranking system in general.

There is no doubt that McGregor is good. He definitely is that, but I think his greatest talent is on the microphone and working a crowd.

If you bothered to watch the fight today you will see something really amazing and by "amazing" i don't necessarily mean the fight. Khabib had McGregor figured out before they both hit the mat and knew how to beat him in precisely the manor that he did. The surprising part is what comes after.

Khabib jumps over the octagon fence to attack some person in the audience AFTER already winning and then brings the fight back into the ring in the way of having one of his pals attack Conor. I don't necessarily like Conor, but this is not the way that anything should be done.

This was meant to be an epic fight... and in many ways it was. But to have it collapse into chaos afterwards is just dumb. Even the announcers were saying precisely this at the end of it all.

There has never been a title fight that could not have a post-fight interview in the ring, ever. Not one. But today we had one. I have to say that I am seriously disappointed in all the people that are involved but I think i know why it is this way. It used to be that your toughness was based on your win/loss ratio and this was how the title fight was determined. However, now it has been converted to whoever can make the best promo.... and normally this is done by saying really horrible things about your opponent.

not a great photo, but that is Khabib's training partner punching McGregor in the face with no gloves on, after the fight was already over

This was evident in the Khabib v. McGregor fight. Khabib and his team were fighting against McGregor on a personal level, not jut a professional one... and even though they won, they felt the need to inflict more damage.

Unless UFC can get this under control (and i don't mean hitting someone with a useless $30,000 fine after the fact, something real!) this sort of crap will only continue. It seems to me that this is the only way to get a big prizefight and by acting a fool, even after you have won, you ensure that you can get more prizefights later.

I felt that this spoiled an otherwise incredible night. Very unsportsmanlike.

Ohh that is amazing and funn!
