Yesterday evening the Radio Times broke an exclusive article with Piers Wenger, Head of BBC Drama

Mr Wenger is of course already one of the named recipients when our petition is submitted at the end of the campaign.
In the article, Mr Wenger boldly states he has no interest at all in making any changes with Doctor Who, in a move designed to dismay critics and dishearten opposition to the current state of the show.

This is a well known technique for massaging public opinion, no point wanting a new Doctor or a new Showrunner, its already decided they are back next year, no point wanting a hiatus and a rethink, because its all going ahead, no point caring about Canon, because it doesn’t exist, and so forth.

But in that interview Mr Wenger makes an arrogant statement that we believe will prove to be a key strategic mistake that will galvanise, not dissipate, opposition to the show under Chris Chibnalls showrunning and Mr Wenger’s oversight.
“Wenger also suggested that the cost of producing Doctor Who is not as significant as some might think, since the show is “not just funded by the BBC” but is “funded by lots of international partners”.

WHO are these partners? Well one is HBO, which financed production in return for being able to air the whole New Who back catalogue from 2005, especially the still extremely popular David Tennant and Matt Smith episodes…

But the OTHER, well that’s something else all together:

This major deal between the BBC and China has not received much attention and isn’t widely known about, however here is the BBC itself declaring its existence: Indeed, the “first” of being able to broadcast Who in China was a feather in their cap they were happy to crow about at the start of series 11… https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/worldwide/2017/doctor-who-china

And that article reveals the truth of why the show will continue for at least THREE more seasons: regardless of how much the audience in the UK and the USA rejects it, or what damage the feminist misandrists in charge of the writing do to Canon usurping the original Doctor with their female pantheon of new, pre-existing regenerations…

“The deal not only covers Showrunners Russell T Davies and Steven Moffat’s Series 1- 10, but also incoming Showrunner Chris Chibnall’s yet-to-film Series 11, as well as a first look for Series 12-15.”

They can’t very well stop making the show and breach their deal with the communists, can they?

Indeed in the time since, China has again been in the international spotlight, first for the situation last year with the Hong Kong Democracy protestors, and currently with the alarming footage leaking especially from the Wuhan area of their repressive tactics to deal with the CoronaVirus outbreak…

We are all familiar with the “oh Doctor Who has always been political” argument and we have debunk that plenty of times by pointing out the show used to have a balance and show multiple views, not just the uni-polarity of the “woke”

However an interesting observation I can share with you as campaign starter is feedback from my own social posting.. whenever there is a particular nasty comment sent my way, and I look at who is “liking” it and sharing the dismissive/hostile/nasty/toxic insult against me and by extension all petition signers, those accounts ALMOST ALWAYS, as in 98% always, have posted support for either Jeremy Corbyn, hard left soon ex leader of the defeated UK Labour party, the hard left SNP in Scotland, or Senator Bernie Sanders, with his communist policies currently running for US President.

So, if the show is not political, why are the Jodie era supporters so blatantly heavily politicised with one world view? Why do no conservative minded people seem to object to the campaign?

And now we find the BBC digging its heels in making a big “Up Yours!” to everyone’s concerns, showing neither ratings or audience or canon or the distress of fans means anything to them at all…

BECAUSE CHINA ARE PAYING THEM TO MAKE IT ANYWAY?

Indeed, how can the show NOT be political when its POLITICS and the hard left authoritarian worldview PAYING FOR IT? At least THIS is what the head of BBC Drama claims…

Just one more reason why whatever they say, this era is #NotMyDoctorWho!
