THE PERFIDY MAIDEN
Once a belle and gorgeous gem,
A maiden with so much loveliness and treasures,
Yet, She stumbles in lapse and falls in truthful lies,
Her allies have scorned her
Her uncouthness has been revealed before the sight of her lovers,
And pests swimming in the pool of her treasury,
Look! Her progenies dine with hunger and scour for viscous nectar from the untamed bees,
Agony tightly adhere to her tattered robe,
And depravity inscribed in her eyes,
Pains and trials sail in her sweats,
Agony and throe spawn their bairns in her loins,
Impurity camps around her neck like necklace,
Look! The swindled and deceitful priests stretch out a net for her nest,
Her adversaries are casting lots,
And diviner's rods bespeak spurious,
She nurtured on the misdeeds of her clan,
Her lads dance to the rhythms from the pipe of prostitution,
Her people are floating in the bloodbath of the guiltless,
Behold! The portal of hope has been shut.
