Truth and Myth on the Gender Pay Gap
Very fair article and a great read, here’s the summary of its main points:
The wage gap isn’t as large as often promoted in the media (20%) but even after controlling for occupation and life choices there is about 5% unexplained that may or may not be discrimination related.
Although it is fair to say the 15% that comes from occupational and life choices may be due to socialization before joining the work force that influences those decisions. In other words the disparities may be baked into the culture.
To the extent that inequality is due to socialization doesn’t necessarily require a policy response. Culture can and should be influenced by other channels (media, advocacy, etc.).
Yule–Simpson effect, is a phenomenon in probability and statistics, in which a trend appears in different groups of data but disappears or reverses when these groups are combined.

Amazing. Thanks for that link. I'll be reading up more about it!
It doesn't exist. It is all a lie. Women choose jobs that pay lower. Also women don't work as many hours as men. When factoring in the FACTS the difference in pay doesn't exist.
