Point 0 Gender at the end of Sumatera Island

April is the month where it can be said to be a historic month for women. How not, this is because that in April born a female emancipation fighters from Jepara originated RA Kartini in 1879. But it should also be known that Aceh is an area that has applied equality between women and men in all areas except In rituals of worship and fiqh of religion. This is evidenced by various historical relics that since the first period of the royal kingdom in Aceh the position of women who have a share in the system of running the wheels of government both in taking policy and in terms of applying the rules. Noted that in the ocean pasai (15th century) the role of women has been very prominent. Nahrasiah is the first queen in Aceh who heads the Pasai Ocean Kingdom over the concept of gender equality, long before Kartini (1879-1904) in Java fought for the rights of his people. Nahrasiah rose to power in 1408 and died in 1428 succeeding his father Sultan Zainal Abidin. He gained that power honorably because the whole society-in this case the royal family-agreed to surrender state power to a woman, without questioning the analogy that a woman who could not be a prayer imam at the same time could not lead the state. It was under the leadership of Putri Nahrasiah that the tradition of women's rule continued in Aceh. Not just putroe Nahrasiah, but there are many other female figures of Aceh who showed his ability and influence on the development of development civilization in bumoe atjeh. There are Cut Nyak Dhien, Cut Meutia, Admiral Malahayati, Putroe Phang, Teungku Fakinah, and many other names of other figures who have contributed to the aceh builders of the past.
Speaking of aceh women, it can not be separated from the story of struggle and life of aceh women in the conflict to date. Aceh women are famous for their strong and passionate souls who are an inspiration and motivation for women from other regions. Since the period of conflict diaceh began to rage, aceh women who died her husband due to war began to live his own life. They begin to earn their own living and become the backbone of their family for the sake of their survival and their children. Aceh women also always have a decent place in society with men, both in the strata of life and in the workplace.
There are also many women in Aceh who have similar livelihoods to men. Since most people work as farmers, what happens in farming in the fields can be a reflection of gender equality. Ureueng agam mu-ue umong, ureueng inong jak seumula. (Men plow rice fields, women who grow rice). In addition there are also seen ace aceh women tarek pukat (red), even now can be seen some aceh women have a pedicab. A sight that is so interesting to analyze, because it is as usual that pedicabs are driven by men. There are many other facts that actually occur in the community about the life of the Woman and Super Mom who is proof that gender equality has been prevalent in Aceh ever since.
The pattern of gender equality in the Qur'an is also very interesting to note. Good human types and bad humans are not dominated by one sex, but are expressed equally, male and female. The general description of women in the Qur'an differs from the reality of women who developed in the history of the Islamic world. The ideal figure of women is described as a people who have political independence, independence in personal choices (al-istiqlal al-syakhsi) is believed to be true even if it has to deal with husbands for married women or challenge the opinion of the public (public opinion) for women who have not married. This is in accordance with the word of Allah (Surah An-Nisa ': 9), which forbids this people to leave a weak generation in the future. And from that verse we can also understand that preparing a strong generation is another form of our piety. Undermining women's position and making it subordinate of one entity is a mistake. For hindering the progress of women is proportional to straight and halak by blocking the progress of a nation. The Qur'an allows women to engage in opposition to various degeneracies and tell the truth.
