Porco Rosso enchanted me. It is a movie, like all the ones I have watched of Ghibli, that give you wholesome vibes and steal a smile throughout its duration; It is something incredible how Ghibli does this, with beautiful stories or with an incredible drawing ..., that is what I want to highlight now. It is the second Ghibli movie that I watch that has aviation as protagonist, and I really like how the planes draw and how the scales are very focused when animating planes and the flight of the planes. It seems easy, but the truth is not.
Porco Rosso me dejó encantado. Es una película, como todas las que he visto de Ghibli, que te llenan de cariño y se roban una sonrisa durante todo lo que dura; es algo increíble como Ghibli hace esto, con historias lindas o con un dibujo increíble…, que eso es lo que quiero resaltar ahora. Es la segunda película de Ghibli que veo que tiene como protagonista a la aviación, y me gusta mucho como dibujan los aviones y como tienen muy centradas las escalas a la hora de animar planos y el vuelo de los aviones. Parece algo fácil, pero la verdad no lo es.

Anyone who is an animator should know that animating from different perspectives is difficult, and getting an airplane to fly over a field is not easy. Como lo hago la mayoría del tiempo, dejaré la trama de la película a un lado ya que tiene más de veinte años de haber salido así que, prefiero centrarme en algo más importante para mí, junto a algunos ejemplos: la perspectiva. Cualquiera que sea animador debe saber que animar de diferentes perspectivas es algo difícil, y hacer que un avión vuele por sobre un campo no es nada fácil. El más mínimo detalle puede hacer que un animal se vea del tamaño del avión, o que el avión en algunos momentos parezca mucho más grande de lo que en realidad es.
The perspective greatly helped older movies like Chaplin's movies, as it was often used resource when there were no computer special effects. Perspective is something that is taught when studying audiovisuals, but if you are an entertainer, perspective will be much more important than you think, and Porco Rosso is not only a great movie to watch and that's it, it can also Show how good a scene can look when handling perspective in a good way.
La perspectiva ayudó mucho a películas antiguas como las de Chaplin, ya que era un recurso muy usado cuando no había efectos especiales por computadora. La perspectiva es algo que se enseña a la hora de estudiar audiovisuales, pero si eres un animador, la perspectiva será mucho más importante de lo que crees, y Porco Rosso no solo es una gran película para ver y ya, sino que también te puede mostrar lo bien que se puede ver una escena cuando se maneja la perspectiva de una buena manera.
