In this quarantine we have learned the value of freedom, and how fragile we are in the face of various microorganisms; and how necessary God is in our lives. But we are also getting to know many things around us that, although they have always been there, went unnoticed to our fleeting and distracted gaze.
Reencountering ourselves, and our families, might sound hesitant; but in many homes communication was no longer a principle, the interaction between spouses and parents and children, took on a third level.
On the other hand, there is never a lack of housework, much less caring for the little ones, and recently, in the face of all this hustle and bustle, I decided to take a trip and strengthen my reading. I started reading a book called "The Secret of Loving and Being Loved" by Josh McDowell.
En esta cuarentena hemos aprendido el valor de la libertad, y cuán frágiles somos frente a varios microorganismos; y cuán necesario es Dios en nuestras vidas. Pero también estamos conociendo muchas cosas a nuestro alrededor que, aunque siempre han estado ahí, pasaron desapercibidas a nuestra fugaz y distraída mirada.
El reencuentro con nosotros mismos, y con nuestras familias, puede sonar vacilante; pero en muchos hogares la comunicación ya no era un principio, la interacción entre los cónyuges y los padres e hijos, adquirió un tercer nivel.
Por otro lado, nunca faltan las tareas domésticas, y mucho menos el cuidado de los pequeños, y recientemente, ante todo este ajetreo, decidí hacer un viaje y fortalecer mi lectura. Empecé a leer un libro llamado "El secreto de amar y ser amado" de Josh McDowell.
Estoy repasando el segundo capítulo y ya he encontrado una frase que me ha hecho pensar.
We are certainly engaged in the search for the perfect person or what we think is the ideal person for us; but we do not worry for a moment about whether we are the right person for someone else. We tend to always worry about meeting our own needs, but not about improving ourselves and meeting the needs of others. We walk every day like explorers, searching. Instead of taking a break and working to get to the right kind of person.
I have heard it said, "We attract, what we are. That is, if you are a good person you will attract good people and vice versa.
Ciertamente estamos comprometidos en la búsqueda de la persona perfecta o de lo que pensamos que es la persona ideal para nosotros; pero no nos preocupamos ni por un momento de si somos la persona adecuada para otra persona. Tendemos a preocuparnos siempre por satisfacer nuestras propias necesidades, pero no por mejorarnos a nosotros mismos y satisfacer las necesidades de los demás. Caminamos todos los días como exploradores, buscando. En lugar de tomarnos un descanso y trabajar para llegar al tipo de persona adecuada.
He oído decir, "Atraemos, lo que somos. Es decir, si eres una buena persona atraerás a buenas personas y viceversa.
Por lo tanto, debemos esforzarnos por ser alguien con una personalidad emocionalmente madura. Con el fin de tener una vida satisfactoria, el matrimonio o la relación

We know very well that marriage is for two, nowadays the stereotype of man and woman varies and I respect that. What strikes me about all this is that if there is no maturity in marriage, sooner or later it will fail.
Sabemos muy bien que el matrimonio es para dos, hoy en día el estereotipo de hombre y mujer varía y yo respeto eso. Lo que me llama la atención de todo esto es que si no hay madurez en el matrimonio, tarde o temprano fracasará.
If they each seek their own well-being, they will tire and fail. Each one should seek the common good, they are two in one; they should be mutual support, work on the personal growth of each one but always hand in hand.
Si cada uno de ellos busca su propio bienestar, se cansarán y fracasarán. Cada uno debe buscar el bien común, son dos en uno; deben apoyarse mutuamente, trabajar en el crecimiento personal de cada uno pero siempre de la mano.
