So just like my mystery Tuesday, I will be doing a creepy Wednesday series.
This series will focus on some creepy places across the world.

For this week, I thought I will focus on something close to home, which brings us to the castle of good hope.
Now don't let the name fool you, it is believed to be one of the most haunted places on earth.

The castle was build in the 17th century by a dutch east Indian company between the years 1666 and 1679.
The first ghostly sighting was in 1915 of a tall figure seen on the castles battlements, the same figure was seen two weeks later and then also in 1947. It was said that the ghost glowed and was seen leaping off one of the castle walls.

In the 1700s a soldier was found hanging from a bell rope, the bell tower was therefore sealed off yet witnesses say that they have heard one of the bells ringing at random times.

There is also the Lady in Grey who is seen holding her hands and crying as she runs through the castle walls.

Lady Anne Barnard who lived in the castle in the 18th century is also said to still be there and is said to be seen in The Dolphin Pool.

If you ever find yourself in the beautiful Cape Town you may visit the castle since it is a museum.

Have you ever had a ghostly experience ?
Tell us about it !!
