Smooth gave me first Monero, or Fluffy I forgot :). He is tired with STEEM, that is normal, and maybe afraid that BTC will be the only one - who knows. He is a smart guy. I like that they're selling. First generation of STEEM users that got to many STEEM for "nothing" is a reason why everything is toxic here.
I can imagine STEEM behind service like medium.com. Reward can not be the main reason why someone is here. It causes the wrong (daily) posting dynamics, bad writing and association in clans.
In Smooth's case some of that might have also been from converting. Many of those other accounts are sending out the bot rewards.
I am glad they are selling too, I just don't see it as a buy yet.
