Gauntlet Update: March 11th, 2022

Client V1 Development

We are happy to announce, we finally finished creating all of the pages of our client for V1.00. Please see the screenshot for the Streaming page below. On this page, you will be able to connect your streaming account to our client so you can start your live stream inside the client.

We will continue to fix outstanding bugs and test it locally. Once this is done, we will add an installer to our software, and release it to our Beta testing group, then to the wider community. Please bear in mind that this will not be a functional software as of yet. It will just be a showcase of what we will do inside our client, so it can be referred to as a showcase demo.

Functions are coming in the forthcoming versions, and so we will end up with a fully functional client. All versions from this point forward will have added functionality. We are aiming for the release of our showcase demo at the end of March.

Decentralised Data Partnership

We are delighted to say that we are now partners with BlockSurvey.io. The team over at BlockSurvey.io loves the Gauntlet project and has reached out to us. We in turn will now only use their platform for our internal and community data gathering campaigns as everything is private, secure and puts you in complete control of not only how you engage with us but in what way you want to engage with us.

100% data ownership is critical to securing your online personal data where nobody only you, can access it. So when you see us releasing forms or surveys in the future, you’ll know we are working with a secure and fully compliant partner. Gauntlet Survey

We will announce the winners and post prize payments during the middle of next week. We have ten winners in total and ten prizes funny enough too. It will be broken down as follows:

First Prize — 5000 GAU Tokens and a sneak peek at our demo
Second Prize — 2500 GAU Tokens and a sneak peek at our demo
Third Prize — 1000 GAU Tokens and a sneak peek at our demo
Fourth — tenth Prize — 100 GAU Tokens and a sneak peek at our demo.

We decided to thank the remaining seven selectees with some GAU and as outlined in the survey preamble; provide them with the opportunity to see the soft demo before it gets released to the community.

Website

We are making some minor changes to the website. We have tweaked a few things to make them more mobile-friendly and added a GAU price widget (compliments of Nomics) along with a Twitter feed towards the bottom of the page. We’ve also changed a few images and updated the FAQ. We’ve added other partners to our growing list as you can see also towards the bottom of the page. If you think our website could do with specific types of content please let us know by emailing us at [email protected]. We just want to thank Andy for his help with us on this. Andy is our new addition to the Gauntlet team and he will be helping us with web-related edits, queries, and soon front and back end coding.

We Are Hiring!

We are looking for an individual that can assist us with market research. We will pay the right candidate GAU weekly. This will require only about 1–2 hours per day. If you are driven and want to grow with us please let us know. You can email us at [email protected]

GAU Anti-Cheat System

We will be working on a design for our anti-cheat system next week. We already have preliminary ideas so we will be expanding around those. Whether our client is paid-to-play or not, you will always get those who cheat. Our software will have the ability to detect any player that cheats in accordance with a very comprehensive list of parameters. The player will be warned and thereafter banned for a selection of progressive time-frames if they continue to breach the GAU Client Code of Conduct (This will be released in due course and added to our TOC’s). This could be hours, days, weeks, or even months depending on the breach score.

We want to ensure that there is a level playing field for all players regardless of experience, location, or age.
