Porter Ranch Gas Leak

Not sure if everyone is aware but around October of 2015 the So. Cal Gas Co. had a major leak in the Porter Ranch area. In the beginning they tried to cover it but the smell was so bad that on November the Los Angeles Health Dept. got involved and recommended for the residents to evacuate the area.

The gas co tried their best to make the residents life miserable by putting them in crappy hotels and only giving out one rooms per house hold even though some families had 5-6 people living at the house. The gas company kept changing their rules on how to get reimbursed and kept making things more complicated for the residents that already suffered. 2 Elementary schools got relocated due to this and the Gas Co did their best to avoid the relocation.

Even our governor ( Brown) did everything he can to minimize the help to the resident because his family works for Sempra which is the parent company for So. Cal Gas Co...

I hope the Porter Ranch Gas Leak experience will be an eye opening for the rest of the country to make sure large corporations like the Gas Co. will not get away with things...
