This seems like a nice gesture. Is the fresh produce you distribute primarily homegrown, sourced from markets or a mixture of both? I'm sure there's loads of people out there who would appreciate a little assistance. Good work.
Yes there is so much available and so many people in need, and we're doing what we can to flow the resources! It's the new paradigm economy :)
We get a lot of support from local grocery stores for food donations, depending on the season and our garden production we also supplement with homegrown.
Seems like you're doing some good work and it's great to hear you're gaining some support from the local businesses. Nice work.
Making me hungry looking at all thatbeautiful food, don't worry I have enough. In Australia a woman has set up a whole chain of vans to pick up unwanted food from Supermarkets and a kitchen to cook it in. It's called Oz hHarvest. Probably it was a lot easier to set up here because up until a few years ago we really only had the 2 major supermarkets. Best wishes.
Great to hear! It's pretty crazy how difficult it is to get grocery stores in the US to donate to people in need instead of throwing perfectly good food in the trash, but we are partnered with some local stores who support our mission. Blessings to you~*~
