We are grateful for the opportunity to share food here in the Garden of Eden!

One way we do that is by giving away free food every single day, and we extend the offer to you too because we are here to help one and all: if you or anyone you know wants or needs food, contact us - we will give you free food, no questions asked. 

Another way we do that is by preparing daily feasts for our full time volunteers and having communal meals together, which we love to share on the blockchain!

Photographs are a great way to share food across time and space to bring people together, and we also love to share the recipes behind the photos to inspire you to recreate the yumminess in your own kitchen & share with family and friends! 

Today, we want to share an excellent food formula for creamy and delicious POTATO SALAD!

This is a delicious, classic formula for potato salad, and the best thing is that it uses leftover potatoes! We made a huge pot of wee boiled potatoes for a sustainable feast earlier this week, ate as many as we wanted, and refrigerated the rest. By the next day, they were perfectly chilled for a dank potato salad!

Ingredients:

- potatoes
- celery
- onions
- mayonnaise
- salt & pepper

Method:

Boil potatoes until fork tender. You can save yourself time and effort like we do by boiling extra potatoes when you are making a meal, and simply refrigerate the leftovers for a day or a few days until you are ready to make this potato salad.

Our boiled potatoes were already tiny and cute, but we cut them in halves or quarters to make them bite sized.

Add chopped onions and celery to your liking. These raw veggies add great flavor and crunchy texture!

Mix in enough mayonnaise to make it as creamy as you like it.

Salt and pepper liberally.

Mix thoroughly, and voilà - it's potato salad! 

Food is important, and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love. We also hope to inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to food! 

We do all of our cooking over fire, using wood that was otherwise destined to end up in a landfill! This is one of our rocket stoves in action - we built it by hand out of dirt.
