Today's Sustainable Feast in the Garden of Eden
It is a remarkable day in the Garden of Eden, and we are giving thanks for more than enough of everything in this abundant life of freedom!
We are so grateful for the health and company of our loved ones! Simple things give life meaning. Life is a very precious gift, and we are celebrating that together today.
We made a simple Mexican inspired fiesta today!
We made a bowl of brown rice mixed with quinoa. We squeezed some lime juice over the top and sprinkled it with salt and juicy red chopped tomatoes.
We offered a variety of condiments so people could make tacos or burrito bowls to their heart's content. Here we have spicy red salsa, creamy southwestern guacamole, and some delicious and nutritious lamb's quarter for sprinkling.
We also offered grated white cheddar cheese, because Tex Mex food is often very cheesy! Cheese tastes good on lots of things, and we include it in many meals.
We sautéed a bowl of green bell peppers. We also served a little bowl of chopped garlic in oil for dressing our dishes!
We offered ground beef with chili powder, cumin, garlic, onions, pepper, and salt for fillings. We also made some sautéed mushrooms as a great filling option for our vegetarian friends!
We made rare strips of fajita steak for our carnivores. This had a deliciously sweet, spicy, and smoky marinade on it!
We had a tray of hot corn tortillas to make our delicious fillings into tacos. All these simple elements were delicious on their own, and we enjoyed combining them for fully customized dinners for each person! Thanks for sharing the feast with us today.
Food is important, and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love. We also hope to inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to food!
We do all of our cooking over fire, using wood that was otherwise destined to end up in a landfill! This is one of our rocket stoves in action - we built it by hand out of dirt.

Great spread! It's nice to "build your own - tostada, taco, burrito, etc." I usually but more stuff on a tortilla than I can possibly ever pick up, so out comes the fork - instant taco salad! Thanks for sharing your fiesta feast!
