Sustainable Feast in The Garden of Eden

It is a fantastic day in the Garden of Eden, and we are giving thanks for more than enough of everything in this abundant life of freedom!

We made a delicious feast for our guests and full time volunteers today!

We made a classic Southern meal with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and a variety of veggies.

Our meal started with a fresh garden salad with greens, peppers, red onions, chewy raisins, and crunchy pumpkin seeds.

We made another fresh salad with juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella cheese, olive oil, garlic, and olive oil.

We prepared sautéed veggies with more greens, Brussels sprouts, and carrots.

We breaded chicken breasts with bread crumbs, herbs, and parmesan cheese, and fried them to a crispy golden brown.

Creamy, hot, buttery mashed potatoes are the perfect side dish to crispy fried chicken!

We rounded out our hearty dinner with creamy chocolate mousse topped with chocolate sauce, fresh mint, and crystallized ginger, garnished with a lemon blondie!

Food is important, and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love. We also hope to inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to food!

We do all of our cooking over fire, using wood that was otherwise destined to end up in a landfill! This is our indoor wood burning stove in action - it cooks our food, warms our communal space, and heats water for hot showers all at the same time!
