It is a glorious day in the Garden of Eden, and we are giving thanks for more than enough of everything in this abundant life of freedom!  

We made a delicious feast for our volunteers over our handmade earthen rocket stoves in our sustainable outdoor kitchen today! 

We prepared a fantastic spaghetti and meatballs spread! 

This is a classic, comforting dish that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. 

We started with a delicious Caesar salad! This has crispy romaine lettuce topped with creamy caesar dressing, parmesan cheese, croutons, and some rich avocado slices for extra yumminess. We sprinkled on sprouted sunflower seeds and chopped green onions for more color and crunch.

For one side dish, we sautéed zucchini, red onions, rainbow carrots, and bell peppers. These veggies have lots of flavor to make our tummies happy and tons of vitamin C, sulphur, vitamin E, fiber, and beta carotene to keep our bodies healthy!

Spaghetti is a traditional noodle to serve with meatballs, but we decided to make gluten free fettuccine noodles instead. This pasta appeals to everyone, and we're happy to honor all dietary preferences!

We made big meaty meatballs simmered in garlicky tomato sauce to top the pasta. These meatballs have grass fed ground beef, sausage, onions, garlic, pepper, basil, oregano, an egg, and bread crumbs as a binder. We browned them over the fire to make a nice crispy brown "crust" before adding them to the tomato sauce for even more flavor. We also served extra tomato sauce on the side for our vegetarians. 

We made crunchy, buttery garlic toast for dipping and scooping and enjoying with the yummy meatballs and tomato sauce.

We offered shredded parmesan cheese, garlic basil pesto, and garlic in olive oil on the side for anyone who wanted to dress up their dishes.

It was a scrumptious spread with plenty of food for everyone!

We even served a special dessert today! These are gluten free cinnamony eggnog cupcakes with vanilla frosting. 

Food is important, and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love. We also hope to inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to food! 

We do all of our cooking over fire, using wood that was otherwise destined to end up in a landfill! This is one of our rocket stoves in action - we built it by hand out of dirt.
