Announcing the winners of the 🌺 SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge for January. Thanks to all participants.

Late
I'm a bit late with this month's winners' announcement post again, but I kinda have a lot on my plate at the moment. These last couple of days have been fairly warm and - even more important - very sunny and it feels like spring is only just around the corner. Unfortunately, I can't really enjoy it, with one of the cats being sick, and the surgery only 3 days away, I'm more worried than anything else. Guess all I can do is hope for the best, while trying hard not to expect the worst.
In the garden, the winter peas I sowed have sprouted. Small green seedlings start to show their heads above the straw I'm using as mulch in the raised beds. The first dandelions have popped up too. It's nice to see a little color again. Let's hope temperatures won't drop a whole lot below the freezing points anymore, so all the little ones will survive.
About 6 weeks to go until spring. Can't wait.
This was the first edition of the 🌺 SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge for 2020. Up to a bountiful year!
The Contestants
I was glad to see the number of participants increased again, after the slow edition of December. We got to see 11 gardens again last month.
A big thanks to everyone who participated this time and showed us their January update.
@shanibeer, @gingbabida, @cabalen, @proto26, @karenb54, @gertu, @riverflows, @sayee, @nikv, @cetb2008 and @plantstoplanks, it is because of you that I can keep this contest alive.
You can find all the entries in the comments section of the original contest post here.
If you love your garden - no matter how big or how small it is - I probably won’t have to tell you that you are all winners.
If you’re a bit like me you know how easy instant happiness can be: a flower that blooms, a delicious, homegrown fruit to pick, finding a ladybug walking around... They don’t come any better than that, right?!
The Winners
Time to announce the winners of the January-edition of the 🌺 SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge.

Keep Posting Garden Updates
This was the January edition of the #gardenjournal challenge. Thanks to everyone who joined.
I hope to see all of you again in about 2 or 3 weeks, to show me how your gardens are doing!
