We really should do more to follow your example here. The Wife has put in one substantial garden so far, but there's a lot more land we could use.
It's taken a couple of years just to cut back all the brush that my grandfather let take over this place, and anything we don't mow gets immediately overrun by bittersweet vines and poison ivy. But running that lawn mower for a couple hours every week is not my favorite chore. Maybe we'll trade it for planting and weeding next year.
Your house looks absolutely charming nestled in behind the garden.
Thank you So very much Mr. Winston! I know with all your energy you put into mowing, you would love to expand the gardens instead. And it's not even too much weeding once the squash grows in to shade it all. The potatoes are all shading now too. I know YOU GOT THIS!!!!
