My garden today: The effects of the Cape Town Drought
The last mielie of the season. We can live like kings!! 😆
The garden has been hard hit by our water restrictions. Every drop of greywater is now reserved for toilet flusing duty. I'm giving the more important plants -my fruit trees and any surviving food- a ration of water to keep them going.
The corn was spent so it's being left to turn to compost now. This was in December
The rose had quite happily been trying to force out buds after some intense banana-peel feeding in December. I think this might be the last one for a while.
The plants are all turning a crispy golden brown. Great color for a bucket of KFC. Not super great for plants. Weather models show we might get 6mm rain on Friday night.
Here's hoping!
Living on the inspirational beauty of a rose.
Pretty much 🙂
Lets hope that when it rains, it pours!
Definitely!
That would be great!
wishing you well with good food and rain...
Thank you :)
We've got the opposite of your problem here.
