Many Hands, Light Work: What Happens When Family Gets Together

Heya Steemfolk! Thought I would walk you a bit around my folks beautiful garden and show you the landscaping job the family did today.

Sadly I didnt take a before shot but if you can imagine ONLY bamboo in this courtyard you would get what we did.

Dad, as you know, has been in hospital having chemo and we did say we would do whatever we could to help. Of course, he overthinks it and overnight draws up a plan for us. And we thought we would only be weeding!

It was nice to get the family in for a project, and to keep our minds on something positive. Not sure about my nephews rock placement though...

My Uncle's guitar rake was slightly out of tune..

But work WAS done, mainly thanks to my husband, son and uncle! Im not sure it would have looked as good if I hadnt made tea and done the final hosing down of the rocks.

We were really happy with the finished product and hopefully Dad will like it too. Its a bit tough for him being laid up as he would always be DOING projects like this and not letting others do it. However he has been man enough o surrender to what is.

They say every cloud has a silver lining, and this one is definately that the entire family has pulled together to help. It is also a testament to how people are better together than apart. Or maybe it is Ganesha himself, remover of obstacles, helping us all out.

I love my folks garden. They have worked.so hard to make it beautiful. Dad painted some gorgeous poles in the garden which were simply big plumbing pipes! Clearly it is them who are responsible for my own love of creating beautiful spaces.

I hope you enjoyed this walk through of parts of my family garden. I do think we can all create something beautiful if we care enough, work together and put some love and muscle into it.
