What is missing ........ TREES 2.0
So as you look at the place my new adventure is going to take place at you see there is one major thing missing
and I have already given the answer away, and that is TREES!!!!! yes trees, if you notice it is pretty lacking in that area, the north side is wide open and come winter that is going to be one hell of a breezeway for the winter wind, so how do I take care of that well easy plant trees, I started checking out various tree places on line and the prices well were crazy 30 40 50 dollars for 3 - 4 ft trees how the hell am I going to be able to afford enough trees to cover anything and manage the wind, well the search on line continues and I came across this site
started looking around the site and found that the prices were way lower than that other every other site around then seen something else
can you see it there are two prices on the page and one is even lower than the other, a regular price and a members price, so I decided to look around to find out how to become a member because at the members price I could get alot of trees to combat the wind tunnel I was going to have to deal with come winter, and found the page to become a member well they had a surprise for the option to become a member and that was a couple of gifts for becoming a member
So as you see you choose to become a member select your gift I chose 10 free trees, what 10 free trees heck yeah, selected the tree of my choice the white fir, now at the bottom of the page their is a drop down to where you can select to have the membership for yourself or gift it to someone, well I plan on actually doing 2 memberships, one for myself and one for Nowhere Homestead, that is a wonderful 20 trees now that should cover some area, but now also with being a member I get trees at an amazing price that nowhere else can touch, and also if anyone is in the gifting mood they can go on and do a membership gift and donate them to Nowhere Homestead also great idea to show support also, or they could get memberships themselves and get trees to plant on their own land or someone elses, either way win win win, they have a nice little upgrade in the form of a tree identity book, now the memberships are as follow 10 for 6 months, 15 for 1 year and 25 for the upgrade with the book you cant beat any of those I am doing the 25 with the book for myself and 15 for Nowhere homestead.
Now you may ask Why, and I would ask why what, why would I put this out there well its easy I see a great deal for a great cause, and being part of this great cause
just makes alot of sense, there was a documentary that said at present there would be no way to plant enough trees to combat the air quality of the world no matter what we as the human race did do or could do, it is too far past a level that we could do anything about, I say bullshit.
I am by no means getting anything by posting this or telling anyone about the Foundation, I am merely looking to give back and hope people look at this and do something positive, plus I need the trees for the property ( if you feel generous to gift them to me bonus, but not ment for that either) I find this is a worthy cause, I was not aware this was available till I found it online, and well Im all in, hope you are too and get some trees, hell get 100's of trees, but get some.
the pics where taken from The Arbor Day Foundations web page and I DO NOT own any of them except the pic of my land.

Learn to propagate trees from cuttings and you will have unlimited free trees!!! Get some rooting hormone at your local garden center or order online. Look up permaculture your site looks dry you will need to create swales and infiltration basins so that your young trees will have a chance to live long enough to get their roots down deep enough. Plant nitrogen fixing trees and shrubs that you will chop and drop from to build up your soil.
that is a hope but to get up and rolling quickly and to get the wind break started on the north and west part of the property covered, this picture was taken in early april so it was still getting cold at night so things had not started to really grow yet, find a source for the trees to propagate, can you propagate evergreens, thanks for stopping by and giving me the input
