Evening progress July 23

To ight Sam and I got to work on the chicken run. The kid is helpful when he has a job. He does well when he's busy.

That's the only picture we got tonight. We worked past dark. The light came with the coop, and it's what we used the last little bit. We were too busy for many pictures. The bottom pallet wall is wired up now. I used a whole lot of staples. Tomorrow or Wednesday we'll get the rest done.

Due to finances, we won't be getting the coop structure til Friday. That works cause I'm off Fridays and I get paid Friday. The uhaul costs a bit more than I had budgeted, which is another kink in the plan, but whatever. I can roll with it.

As impatient and down as I get about things when they don't go well, I know we're making good progress here. It feels good. It's taking longer than my originally projected one-day timeline. But I'm working multiple hours a day on it, which means that timeline wasn't realistic. I oughtta be used to that happen in, but it still frustrated me.

Oh well. We're getting there. Time for work, y'all have a good evening.

Stay relevant

Good job, man! Rarely do things go as planned. You have a positive, realistic vibe going on so that automatically makes things better. I don't know much about chickens, but have always had an interest in learning about them. I don't have any practical advice, but I can send you some words of encouragement! The most important thing here is that it gets done. Progress looks hella good so far!

Tihanks! I don't know much about chickens either. I'm really new to it and most of anything I may know was learned here on steem in the last week or two lol

The main options were chickens and rabbits. Chickens are less work and less clean up when harvested and they produce a lot of benefit by way of pest control. Both would produce fertilizer but chickens don't require slaughtering to harvest.

It took a while to decide, but once we did, it was time to nut up or shut up, and here we are :)
