We have a baby avocado tree! Uhh... What do I do with a baby avocado tree?
Guess I'll need a grow light or something cause this thing is gonna die outside with our "cold" winters.
Is avocado a fruit or a vegetable? Yikes, I didn't know what I was getting into...
Did you grow it from the pit and that toothpick trick I see people trying? Good luck with growing a semitropical fruit tree indoors, I doubt it's worth the hassle but it's cool anyways. Also are avacado trees self polinating or will you need two avacado trees and the help of insects?
I tried with the toothpicks. Wife threw em out cause she got tired of looking at em. These were started in wet potting soil outside.
I haven't the slightest clue how they pollinate, but I anticipate the second tree will sprout soon. It was started a few days after this one.
Hope the wife tolerates them being inside over the winter...
Fruit
Said with authority! I like it!
Haha, that's just the way I talk! Some folks don't like it, but I don't mean to be a conceited ass.
It's appreciated here. No asininity detected. :)
