LOL good question! Touche huh? Hmm...honestly I don't remember having any particular filter when I met @sagescrub. We were both sooo young then...I was 17 and so insecure. I remember feeling a strong sense of familiarity with @sagescrub and yet also very intrigued by his mysteriousness, which I later found out was him also being insecure lol. We were very attracted to each other when we met but we also learned over time that attraction is only the beginning. I think because we separated and came back together, it's the second beginning that is the real story of how we met. We had grown a lot and came into ourselves and "met" each other as two whole beings who didn't need the other person to feel fulfilled or complete, and in fact, we were both deeply enjoying our independence. We got to really deliberate our choice this time and decide in full knowledge of each others' shortcomings (which is a pretty big filter) as well as our strengths, whether or not we want to share our lives together. In making that decision together, we began a new way of relating that we're both really happy about.
that makes complete sense and i commend you for both finding center... and then the ultimate love story of choosing to reunite! personally i cannot imagine being with the any of the people i was with when i was 17-- so much has changed!
this is SO key... i think when we're 17 it's nearly impossible to move from that space, but what magic that you two still choose each other. wow! <3
