Garden Inspiration From The Beautiful Kleinmond - Ulog#3
Hey Steemians,
I hope you all having an awesome Saturday. It's been storming in Cape Town, so its been pretty much an indoorsy day! Going outside seems a bit risky so i have been giding out in my cosy apartment.
I thought id share some interesting pictures i took during my little getaway to Kleinmond. I noticed loads of people took so much time to decorate their gardens. Some very common ideas and others i thought were pretty unique and original. Here's what i found!
Get Inspired By These Unique Garden Features
Have an old wheelbarrow laying around? Why not use it as a planter and a rustic feel to your garden. It also looks right at home in any garden don't you think?
I love how they mixed and match different textures and create this masterpiece. Stone, wood, metal - natural and crafted pieces make this beautiful garden. The feature stone piece on the wall also add a little extra something. My favourite item is the the multicoloured metal bird, i think a stalk, which brightens up the whole setting!
Closer view of the multicoloured stalk! All made from metal!
An upcycled old boat made awesome piece in this garden. The divisions are used as shelves stacked with a fewplat plants and washed up treasures from the ocean. Besides the plants, everything else in and around the boat has a nautical theme.
A collection of plates and tiles from around the world were featured on this garden wall. All the different colours blend in nicely and each piece tell their own story!!
Who says mailboxes has to be boring?? This shark mailbox is clearly inspired by the ocean, perfectly fitting into the garden of this seaside cottage!! 100 points for creativity!
I hope you guys feel a bit inspired by these cool and different ideas to use on your garden!

Hahahhahahaha! You abd your fear of sharks!! At least it was wooden!! And it could have been worse!! Like feet!!
Also loved the boat!! And the deatail like those plastic ship floaty stuff they made look like a beaded necklace draped around the tree!!

I really love seeing old things put into good use. Recylcing at its best!!.. you will never know what you could do out of it.
People are really creative and funny and earth friendly. What would it be if we all think this way. It would mean so much.. especially to Mother Earth!
Thank you for sharing.. I enjoyed it!

Totally hey!! Give them a second chance and a new lease on life!! Upcycling is definitely the way yo go!!
You are all soo right lady!! If we all practiced this the world would have way less junk and be so much cleaner! I see Adidas recently came out with sneakers made from recycled fabric as well. We should all definitely try in small ways even!
You are very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh yes definitely, this things may start small. It may start in us in our everyday activities. We can help contribute to keeping our Earth a nice place to live in again. The major problem we have is the garbage disposal. If only we know how to see treasures in our trash it would be lovely.
As for our home, we are starting to use less plastic. And also,if we buy drinks outside, we ommit the straws. We have our bamboo and metal straws that I bring with me everywhere.
Its never too hard to start small. baby steps are fine.
