Cactus and Succulents Exhibition in Cyprus - Part 9

in #gardening5 years ago (edited)

In the first photo, the Astrophytum caput-medusae or Digitostigma caput-medusae.
It is considered rare.
I was lucky and I was able to purchase it :-)))
I wanted him for a long time !!!

Its height is up to 19 centimeters.
The flowers are yellow, fragrant.
I liked the aroma of its flowers, but it seems to me that the smell is very similar to the aroma of the Hamatocactus Setispinus cactus.
It is rarely watered in spring and summer, but it is necessary that the earthen lump is completely saturated with water.
It is better to water by lowering in water.

The photos I were taken with a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet

Beautiful, as always. Congratulations I didn't know there were such a thing as medusoid cacti. And your last picture is a euphorbia hybrid. Did you know that cacti and succulent euphorbia are considered examples of parallel evolution? They are unrelated but have evolved similar characteristics
