Awesome Gardening On The Steem Blockchain " Tomatoes Grown In Hedgehog Pots "
Hello, dear Steemians
Today we continue with an update from my garden.
We had a few tomato plants left over and this time we simply planted them experimentally in a few pots.
Per tomato you calculate about 20 litres of soil volume and we also had a cemetery burial tray with about 5 litres capacity and a few "hedgehog pots" with also 5 litres volume.
The term "hedgehog pot" comes from me because the shape reminds me a little of a hedgehog.
This type of pot has the advantage that the roots branch out better and grow towards the holes.
Furthermore, the "hedgehog pot" has the advantage that it replaces a normal pot with approx. 7.5 litres.
The plant in the burial tray was potted about 8 days before the others and is unfortunately also a different variety.
Nevertheless, it is easy to see that the plants in the "hedgehog pots" look much healthier and also have a nice rich green.
It looks like there are cherry tomatoes in the burial tray and normal sized ones in the "hedgehog pots".
I will definitely report on whether this will work and how the tomatoes taste.
Interesting! You could plant tomatoes in pots! They look quite okay too.
Thank you.
