What a labor of love! And such a beautiful forest garden...the chickens are pretty awesome too :) I'm Canadian but live in Mexico at the moment, and so many people here have chickens and roosters, but they just wander everywhere, including the streets, in stores etc. Just like dogs or cats; it's pretty cool!

I just love Joel Salatin's work. He makes everything so simple. Sadly, we're down to three hens that are only putting out 5-7 eggs a week now, but I have 6 more coming in the spring to help with next year's garden waste. I throw all of the plants and prunings in there as well. What they don't eat will compost quite nicely.
