Flap Jack Plant

Flap Jack

Hello Steemians :)

Today, I would like to introduce you to one of my plant collection which know as Flap Jack. The scientific name of Flap Jack is Kalanchoe Thyrsyfolia Succulent. This succulent is very popular because of the colour of its leaves and its paddle-shaped leaves that is staked.

Flap Jack plant can survive either indoor or outdoor as long as it can receive plenty of sunlight. It can tolerate some shade but still prefer to have full sun. Cold night temperatures extend the life of the flower. You don't have to frequently water Flap Jack, only water after the soil had become slightly dry to the touch because too much watering will lead to rot.

As for fertilizer, you don't have to put a lot of it because Flap Jack plant is not a heavy feeder. I use a slow-release fertilizer which is specified use on succulents. Insects is super annoying and I hate it especially when I have to remove it with my bare hand. Sometimes the insects are too small and I can't even see it.

That all for my post today.

Flap Jack sounds like a pretty easy plant to take care of! Thanks for sharing it :) I found your post because @dipoabasch featured you in his entry for our pay it forward contest; you are more than welcome to join us next week too :)

I can't say that this is a nice post @evayer, but I like the way you share your favourite things and really knew how to handle the succulent, that's why I have featured you in the my entry post for the pay it forward curation contest this week, Check this out if you have time Week 18: Curation Contest ~New Host New Energy!

well.. I read through your post and it's quite interesting, don't overthink that you are a weirdo, you should dive in the steemit ocean to find more weirdos and have fun! Keep Posting what you like..

Hello @dipoabasch! Thank you for featuring my post. I really appreciate it. When I have my first succulent, it died after a week because of too much water and that when I started to do research and learn how to take care of my plant. Haha Thanks!!

Hahahaha at least now you'll bee an expert after the research... You're welcome @evayer.. Just keep posting ☺️

Thanks to @dipoabasch's entry into the Pay It Forward Curation Contest I found your post. There are no plants that last very long in our house other then succulents. We forget to water all the time so if they can't handle going days or even weeks without being watered they just don't stand a chance.

Welcome to steemit and hope you keep blogging. If you are looking for any help in getting started reply to this comment with any questions and I'll answer the best I can or point you towards the answers.

Thank you for your warm welcome @pifc!! Yeah, it is true that succulent can go without water. Also thanks for your offer, I will keep in mind :)

Hi there and welcome to Steemit I hope you will love it here as much as I do. I found you because of @dipoabasch's entry into the Pay It Forward Curation Contest.

I had one succulent but it died and I did nof understand why because I thought I was taking care of it. Reading through your post makes me realize it could be due to not enough sunlight because I just had it indoor.

Thanks for sharing your post. Maybe I can go back to taking care of indoor plants soon. 😊

Just like the others, I found your post through @dipoabasch featured post. 😊

and I came to your post to make you busy with the comments reply too.. hahahaha, how are you @evayer? I hope that flap jack plant will survive this time.. succulent doesn't need much care or water right? I remember one of my senior at the university was crazy about succulent and have them all over her room and nobody allowed to touch it.

hope that you'll keep posting .. if you want to learn about this platform more.. join us in the pay it forward community, everyone will answer your question and willing to help you find how to grow your account on Steemit too.
