The Plants That Look After Themselves : Geraniums

Geraniums (also known as Pelargoniums) are one of the best plants for dry soil and dry areas. Geraniums come in various colours from white to dark red and all colours in between.

The Geranium also makes a great house plant especially if you are a plant killer by neglect. Also very easy to take cuttings and create new plants for yourself or as i like to do .. give them away to people. One of the only down sides to geraniums is the smell after handing them which is quite weird smell.
Unlike the perennial version these plants cannot be left in the garden over winter. You need to lift them and bring indoors or store over them winter.

These are the perennial geraniums that come back year after year in the garden. These plants are very hardy and over the years I've never lost any of them.
You can get perennial geraniums in purple/blue as above or the smaller more delicate pink ones.
