Rosemary Bonsai

Hey all!

I took a few cuttings of rosemary a couple of weeks ago and I thought it'd be fun if I'd try to turn them into bonsai trees. Had a quick look online as well to see if it's possible and found some pretty good results.

Obviously we start with the cuttings - I just kept them in water for a couple of weeks until they push some roots out.

Got some nice roots.

Soil.

I've wired two of them. This is more difficult than what it looks heh. Trying not to snap the stem and using tweezers to move the leaves and new growth so that they're not pressed by the wire is fiddly work.

The two wired ones look pretty similar in the pics I've took but their shape is quite different. I've also pruned the new growth so they will mature in different patterns.

I didn't wire the other 2 but I've topped them and I will try to get a two trunk mini tree out of them.

That's it, hopefully they'll catch and grow into mighty tiny bonsais. Gonna have fun pruning them.
