Harvest time! All of the red currants, some black ones, blackberry, tayberries, raspberries and loganberries.
The red currant is bare now, heh.
The blackberry plants are in their 2nd year now and the're producing really well!
Turns out my gooseberry is a red one, I did find it odd it took so long for it to ripen.
Went to a garden centre and couldn't resist buying some more plants.
This is a blueberry. Dixi is the variety, and I chose this one because it's self fertile.
A yellow currant.
And an Aronia bush, Viking variety. I've never even heard of this plant before so I thought I'd give it a go.
Thanks!
I've never heard of tayberries and loganberries, glad to learn of their existence. I kind of imagine Wolverine as a berry now due to the name loganberries. Seems like you had a great harvest and today!
Now that put an image in my head. A berry Wolverine :D hehe!
Those two berry types are pretty similar; they're both raspberry-blackberry crosses, can't decide which ones nicer.
Cheers!
Haha! Ah alright thanks for telling me that! Pretty cool that they're a cross between raspberries and blackberries
Wow so beautiful photo...Delicious fruit.😱
Thank you!
