Asparagus season is here!

We started picking asparagus this week! Our patch has been slowly growing, as we grow more plants from our own seed. So the patch is a mix of 1 to 5 years old asparagus plants.

The kids usually just snap the stems and eat them on the spot, but we started also putting whole asparagus in the salads, as well as just peeled and chopped.

Yummy! We love perennials!
