You have a really beautiful and healthy garden. You have a ton of different varieties in there.
Getting the right variety for a specific location definitely is key. Taking time to research and get the right variety might seem tasking at first but the result will definitely speak for it.

I think you hit the nail right on the head. Doing the research before can seem a little tasking, and I think most overlook the kind of investment that little task can actually be.
