What I bought between Black Friday and Cyber Monday
It was Black Friday last Friday and Cyber Monday yesterday. When I hear "Black Friday" I cannot help thinking about Black Tuesday, the Wall Street Crash on 1929. But they are not related to each other at all. They are big sale days.
先週金曜日はブラックフライデーで、昨日はサイバーマンデーでした。私は特にブラックフライデーと耳にすると、1929年の世界恐慌の始まりのブラックチューズデーをイメージしてしまうのですが、全然関係なく、大セールで盛り上がる日です。
It seems this sale season is also big in Germany. I was listening to my boyfriend talking about how great discount Expedia made and also about what his colleagues hunt ;) I saw ADs on streets in downtown and also online such as on Facebook and Instagram.
このセールのシーズンはどうやらドイツでも一大イベントのようで、お父ちゃんがエクスペディアのセールがああでこうで、同僚がどこで何を買ってと大興奮で、話半分に聞いていました。街をあるいてもたくさんセールの広告を見かけました。
I didn't have any plant to hunt a bargain but I could do good shopping ... probably more than my boyfriend with less energy. He could get some discounts on Expedia in the last minutes of Cyber Monday ;)
私はこれ買うぞ！というお目当はなかったのですが、偶然にもこの期間によい買い物をできました。お父ちゃんはExpediaで格闘の末サイバーマンデーの最後にホテルを予約できたと大喜びでしたが、私にはその元気はないよ w
One was a lemon tree. I found it for half the price. It is one of my dream trees and after I got to know @jamethiel has hers indoor, I was looking for it. It was last one at a DIY store I went to buy some woods to make my Tatami sofa (Tatami is Japanese mattress made with rush). It wasn't on sale because of the Black Friday but more like because of the end of the season.
ひとつめはレモンの木です。前からほしかったのですが、Needlework Monday でご一緒の @jamethiel さんがインドアで育てているよ〜と教えてくれて、このところいい木がないか探していました。畳小上がりを作るために見に行ったホームセンターで半額で売られているのを見つけて、さらに最後の一本でラッキー！ブラックフライデーというより単にシーズンの終わりで安くなっていたようです。
Then yesterday I found another bargain at the same store when I went there to pick up the lemon tree. I asked them to keep it as it was too heavy to bring back my daughter, woods and the lemon tree. But it was good in the end. I found one bulb pack was sold for 50 cent ... awww. I bought two packs. I will do hydroponics with some of them and plant the rest in garden.
もうひとつは球根です。同じホームセンターにレモンの木を受け取りに行った時に見つけました。子どもと畳の小上がりの木材と木を一度に運ぶのは無理で、レモンの木を取っておいてもらったのです。もう一回行くのは面倒だなあと思っていたのですが、怪我の功名？球根1袋50セント（65円ほど）でふたつ買ってほくほくです。シーズンの終わりであまり選択肢はありませんでしたが、Muscari初挑戦、ヒヤシンスも入っているので一部水耕栽培もしてみようと思います。
Overall it was a good sale period for me :) Did you buy something during the sale season?
そんなこんなで、終わってみたらよいものを買えて、大成功のブラックフライデーからサイバーマンデーのセールシーズンと相成りました。みなさん期間中に何か買いましたか？
Perfect bargains! The lemon tree is lovely and the bulbs will be beautiful in the spring.
Where will you keep your lemon tree? I'm not sure we have enough light and warmth here for one, and the air is very damp.
I keep it at the most sunny window side close to kitchen, it's warm especially when I bake :D The amount of sunshine is the biggest concern. Sun rises on 8:00 and sets on 16:00 ... I wish I can help the tree that came from sunny Sicily to survive the German dark cold winter :)

By the way, I like your #breadbakers tag - good idea. I only bake the same bread every time, but sometimes I vary the flour. One day (when I am organised), I will do a breadbakers post. Have you tried Dtaste yet?
Same for me. I have a kind of routine: toast bread, sweet fluffy something, sour dough whole wheat ... sometimes bagels. It's the difference between needlework. But probably something new comes in time by time.
I didn't know Dtaste. I must check it. I'm always surprised that you know really a lot!
And I look forward to reading your bread post. Seems some needleworkers are bread bakers :)

たしかに葉っぱの形ベンちゃんと似てますね :) 家の中に木があるっていいなあと眺めています。まだお店から受け取ってきた時のビニール袋を下に敷いていて、鉢受けを買ってあげないと。子どもが増えた気分です。大事にせねば・・・
同じく！私も「世界恐慌」のことを思い出してしまうので、このシーズンの広告は落ち着きません（高校の社会で世界史を選択していました）。

ムスカリとヒヤシンスの球根、素敵なものをゲットされましたね。
ヒヤシンスは子どもの頃、こんなでっかい花が咲くの！？とびっくりした思い出があります。

庭の整理もはじめて、球根植えるの楽しみです。
This is lovely!! I hope to see it grow and produce big lemons. I love plants, but I am not good at caring I think. Mine very often get bugs (igitt) and the same happend with our mandarine tree. We gave it to my parents, as they have a graden and it got a bit better. But now I do not dare to try it again inside. I hope yours will not get this thingies.
I have a sister that has great success with a lemon tree. She had a setback one year after a hard freeze but the tree survived with some tender loving care. Good luck with your tree. I bought a new computer because my old one was so slow and antiquated that I hated to use it. It was time for an upgrade.
I am looking forward to watching your tree grow! If it is anything like ours, all the leaves will fall off in the next 3 weeks. But don't give up if that happens, feed it some good compost and supplements, and it should come back and put out some new leaves in about 2 months. That is the worst of what happened when we got ours.
As for the sales, I picked up some new gaming books at a buy 1, get 1 half off sale. And a knitting pattern book of baby stuff and clearance yarn that was 50% off.
