Former Shiba Rikyu Garden in Hamamatsucho, Tokyo

in #garden2 years ago

Kill time in Hamamatsu Town. Hamamatsucho is a garden.
This time, I decided to go to the former Shiba Rikyu Garden.
As soon as you enter, you will be distracted by the ground.

It is so beautiful that you hesitate to walk with a sand pattern.
It used to be a Western-style building, but it burned down in the Great Kanto Earthquake, and now only the foundation remains.

You can see some small mounds of soil. It's a low mountain, but the scenery is quite good when you look down.

Sea bream bridge.

This garden has several stone bridges.
I'm a little nervous to cross.

None of them have handrails and are not very wide, so be careful with young children.
It's not a good idea to take a drunken stroll. The wooden bridge was off-limits due to aging.

Like the Hamarikyu Garden, the Shiba Rikyu Garden used to be "tide-in".

Does it mean that in the past, it was right there that was the sea?
Take a break at the East house.

It overlooks the garden.
It is a smaller size than the Hamarikyu Palace, but the ratio of water holes is large, and perhaps because it is rich in undulations, the satisfaction of walking is high.
Right after leaving JR Hamamatsucho Station, access is good. One disappointment was that it was a little noisy.
The noise of the car cannot be helped, but the noise of the construction is quite loud, which is a pity.
Next time, I'll come around when the construction is finished.
