Snow in August?!! That is a very short growing season!
Lovely to see your harvest, especially after the early posts where you were setting everything up. Your posts were one of the things that inspired me to think differently about my own garden and re-imagine it as a food forest. Well, small copse 😊.
The potatoes look grand, I'm going to try growing them for the first time this year.
Right!! Its not common though, we usually get snow in october or maybe late, late september. But yes, a lot of people were caught off guard, and just left their crops - they figured it would maybe be a light snowfall but it snowed for days. Saw lots of pictures of people trying to find their produce in the snow haha
Thanks! Its so much fun to share them :) And we're quite pleased with what we did get out of the garden, I was in rough shape the last 3 weeks of the pregnancy, Brock barely slept from working nights and trying to get stuff and things done. It was quite hectic there for a while.
Thats so cool to hear that you found inspiration in what we wrote :)
This was our first year growing them in the ground, last year we had them in buckets. Just put soil in the bottom and then filled it up as the stalks grew. We got some really tasty potatoes
