How to pick the BEST watermelon:
- Look for a noticeable yellow spot. This is where it sat on the ground to ripen, which is what you want. No spot means it was picked prematurely.
- Look for "webbing” that is brown, with coarse-like, web looking lines. This is from bees pollinating the flower which scars the membranes = more pollination = more webbing = sweeter melon.
