As our garden begins to bloom my girlfriend and I begin to go off the grid more & more everyday, as much as you can in an apartment! ;)
We are obviously not completely off the grid but we try to stay away from department stores as much as possible. We recently planted tomatoes, mint, aloe, garlic, flowers, cucumbers & more! We are excited to be able to eat our own vegetables & decorate our house with our own flowers. We also have began to keep our catch while fishing, using new recipes to spice up our dinner!.
My girlfriend created a vision board at the beginning of the year and creating a garden was on it. It's really hard to plant a garden when you don't have a yard but we found places on the stairs. I'm so excited to have fresh cherry tomatoes on my salads as they are my favorite vegetable snack!
The plants are looking great! I've tried planting my own veggies in the past, unfortunately everything I tried to grow ended up either dying or being very mediocre. BUT that was years ago, and I can't say I did enough research to grow everything properly. This inspires me to try again! Please update us as they begin to grow~ :)
Going off the grid is always a wonderful initiative, being an example for many to come!
