in #garden8 years ago

Good morning stemians...How are you today, I hope you always healthy and stay energized for the day's activities.

Before leaving for work this morning I took time to care for my green chili is grown in pots and sacks. I am pleased to see the progress they had already started to bear fruit and flower again. I am happy to see it. The green chili I've planted over two months and already 2 times the harvest. Initially I just wanted to learn just how green chili plant in a pot or in the sack. When I try and succeed, this is cool, plant chilies can be done anywhere, it should not have land or the extensive gardens. I think friends should try.

Well, this time we will be as equally learn to plant chillies in pots or sacks. For a free sack, which is important for more than 40 cm in diameter. If the smaller diameter of pepper plants will be stunted usually because the roots do not grow so nutrient uptake inhibited.

  1. Enter a planting medium into a sack, in the form of rice husk + soil + manure / compost, with the composition: 3: 1: 1. Rice husk function is to prevent the soil from solidified.

  2. Rest your planting medium for at least one week, but should be watered once. so that the conditions of growing media "cold" and not become a boomerang for the plant as a result of manure immature.

  3. After the rest period, is now ready for planting medium. Flush advance planting medium with water before planting seedlings was moved from the nursery.

  4. Planting the seeds of healthy and fresh. The ideal age is between 22-25 days, or leafy perfect 4-5 strands. In the transplanting stage, the important things is to keep the roots are not damaged, so be sure to lift the seedlings carefully. The roots are broken or frayed loose media usually cause yellowing seedlings / pain during the first 1-2 weeks after transplanting.

  • Quite watered only with sufficient water after planting, should not be given any fertilizer.

  • Fertilizing subsequent started the age of 10 days after planting.

Green chili I planted in pots grow better and more fruitful than in the sack. I planted them on the same day, but wearing different types of soil. before starting to plant chillies in pots or in sacks, the choice of land for the planting medium chili is very necessary to be considered.

Happy TRAIL!

That's a great experiment in growing your chilis in bags versus pots. I'm glad the plants in the bags have done so well. But you show clearly that the plants in the pot are bigger. You make a great point that not having land is no reason not to grow some of our food. Nice work!

@serampangan-hstead Thank you
