Monilia: Treat top drought on cherry trees

The peak drought is a fungal pathogen that attacks the annual shoots from the top. In unfavourable weather conditions, the leaves and fruits dry up. In addition, plant sap, the so-called rubber flow, escapes from the leaf buds. I recommend to check the tree regularly and to remove and dispose of the affected shoots. Otherwise the entire harvest may fail. I could also see in my own garden that forsythia sometimes serves as a summer host for the fungus. Therefore, please take care not to plant cherry trees next to forsythia.
