Circulando por el jardin, me encontre con las hormigas rojas, cortadorasºººººWhile walking through the garden, I came across the red, leaf-cutter ants.

Hola a todos,como sabran siempre me siento muy orgulloso de mi jardin, por todos los beneficios que el mismo produce, tanto en flores, hiervas medicinales y de frutas varias, buen tambien hortalizas, es asi que al salir esta mañana y caminar por el mismo dado que note una gran faltante de hojas de la planta de jazmin, descubri que dicho faltante se debe a las hormigas rojas, cortadoras, como se puede ver en la foto, logre capturar una de ellas y les digo que son muy grandes y veloces, se las puede comparar con la uña de mi dedo.

Algunas tienen mas de un centimetro de largo, lo que observe es que su cabeza es bastante grande como lo son tambien sus ojos, la parte de la boca se trata de lados en forma de tenaza, pero este tiene un filo como el serrucho y sus patas son bastantes largas, se orientan con las doas antenas que tienen en la frente.

Las hormigas cortadoras de hojas despejan muy bien los caminos entre su colonia y las zonas de recolección de hojas, eliminando cualquier residuo que encuentren en su camino, por supuesto estan bien limpios, conociendo su deseo de tener de esa manera una buena ruta hacia las plantas, mantener el suelo cubierto con material fibroso a menudo las frenará.

Las hormigas cortadoras de hojas se llaman así por sus formas hercúleas, cortan el follaje y lo transportan a los fragmentos pesados, como si fueran banderas verdes que son mas grandes que el tamaño de ellas, durante largas distancias hasta sus colonias o nidos, allí luego devoran las hojas para alimentar las granjas de hongos subterráneas, donde se encuentran sus crias.

Se dice que las hormigas rojas tienen un significado de brujería, que al tener las mismas en el jardin, quieren evitar tu crecimiento económico, bueno en lo personal creo que todo eso es leyendas, anecdotas, lo que digo si es que son muy debastadoras de plantas.

Se puede usar talco espantar a las hormigas, se le agrega un poco de talco en la entrada de la cueva o en el lugar por donde entran las hormigas o en su defecto como lo hecho yo, todo esa parte negra como si fueran arroz, son venenos para dichas hormigas, las mismas lo recojen y se lo llevan a su nido y es ahi cuando el mismo hace su trabajo.

Si hablamos de trabajo amigos, como se puede ver en esta foto, como esta quedando la parte de arriba de mi jazmin, el cual se encuentra sobre la pergola, es imprecionante como se deboran toda las hojas.

Sabemos que todo esto es el siclo de la MADRE NATURALEZA, pero el dañar algo que nos agrada y que lo cuidamos con mucho amor, nos da impotencia, es por eso que actuamos a la defensiva, poniendo todo de nosotros para que esto no suceda.

Hello everyone, as you know I always feel very proud of my garden, for all the benefits that it produces, both in flowers, medicinal herbs and various fruits, good also vegetables, is so when I went out this morning and walk through the same since I noticed a great lack of leaves of the jasmine plant, I discovered that this lack is due to red ants, cutters, as you can see in the photo, I managed to capture one of them and I tell you that they are very large and fast, they can be compared with the nail of my finger.

Some of them are more than a centimeter long, what I observed is that their head is quite large as are their eyes, the mouth part is made of sides in the form of pincers, but it has an edge like a saw and their legs are quite long, they are oriented with the two antennae that they have on their forehead.

Leafcutter ants clear the paths between their colony and leaf collection areas very well, removing any debris they find in their path, of course they are well cleaned, knowing their desire to have a good route to the plants, keeping the ground covered with fibrous material will often slow them down.

Leaf cutter ants are named for their herculean shapes, they cut foliage and carry it in heavy, green flag-like fragments that are larger than their size over long distances to their colonies or nests, where they then devour the leaves to feed subway fungus farms, where their young are found.

It is said that red ants have a meaning of witchcraft, that by having them in the garden, they want to prevent your economic growth, well personally I think that all that is legends, anecdotes, what I say is that they are very devastating to plants.

You can use talc to scare the ants, add a little talcum powder at the entrance of the cave or in the place where the ants enter or as I did, all that black part as if they were rice, are poisons for these ants, they pick it up and take it to their nest and that is when it does its job.

If we talk about work friends, as you can see in this photo, how is the top of my jasmine, which is on the pergola, is impressive as all the leaves are deboran.

We know that all this is the cycle of MOTHER NATURE, but damaging something that we like and that we take care of with a lot of love, gives us impotence, that is why we act defensively, putting all of us so that this does not happen.
