I really wonder if astro-turf is beneficial - it's plastic! Real grass may take water but it also gives life to bugs and worms and helps cool the ground down where it is planted. Astro-turf has a plastic sort of smell to it when it's in the hot sun and grass smells so nice after it has been cut. I really do prefer real grass!
