Here are all the parts that come with the unit.

First we'll take the lid and attach the clip that holds the light. To do this we simply take the bolt through the top and fasten the light bracket under with the nut shown.

And voila, it should look like this on the underside once complete.

Then next step is to find the light and secure it to the underside of the lid by clipping it into the brackets.

Now we need to find electrical cord and plug it into the socket at the end of the light.

We can put the top aside for now and find the two black posts that will hold the top up. You will also need the black bolt, nut and bracket show below.

You'll slide the bracket onto the black post and put the nut snug into the small space where the bolt threads through. Once complete they should appear as the picture below.

Now we place the two black posts in the slot on either side of the bottom tray. Then move and secure the brackets on the black posts up near the top even in height with eachother to allow the top to rest upon them.

Now these little black caps go onto the tops of the posts.

Next we'll put these 4 trays into the bottom, they will hold up the soaker cloth and pots.

And next we place the soaker cloth evenly spaced across the trays. Both sides near the black posts should curl down to touch the bottom of the tray. They'll act as a wick to soak up the water below and deliver it to the plants .20180130_181904.jpg

The last step will be to place the trays on top of the soaker cloth.

Good Work! Here's what our final product looks like with the light on.

Happy growing! Maybe try some basil for homemade pesto?

Thanks, Basil will be first on the list!

Looks like a nice setup .. Annual herbs you might have the best results with, basil like mentioned, chives, parsley, cilantro, and dill are also nice annuals. Some nice perennial herbs would be oregano, rosemary, mint, marjoram, and thyme .. Thanks for the post!

Nice lamp you got there and looks like set up wasn't too bad either!

We have a mini version that's similar to this from ClickNGrow that we've used to grow mini peppers, basil and cherry tomatoes.

Do you expect to have any issues with pests?

Peppers are one of my favorite plants to grow, stay tuned for when i start up for this year in a week or two. I hope not to have pest problems but it has not been the first time if they do come around, I just got rid of a fruit fly invasion from the fall when the plants came in for the winter.

Nice system! I always say basil for a system like this. It will THRIVE so incredibly well you'll be amazed.

Thanks, i just picked up some sweet basil seeds last night i hope to try out.
