Episode II: Back to the Past with Pixel-art Games - The Last Viking and Dash Quest.

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. How are things going today? Hope you all always in good health and fortune. And here I am again today coming with another article about gaming or talking about video games that has been released to the market. If you have follow my blog, then you are already know that here in this blog, I am going to share some information about games that I like, especially about those video games that has a retro feel to it. Yes, the game that I am going to talk about are video games that have pixel-art graphic.

This article is going to be a continue article from my previous one. I called this article "Back to the Past Episode II". In previous post, I have talked about two of pixel-art video games which are Pixel Dungeon and Slyin. Then here, I am going to share information about another pixel-art video game that was released for android platform. For those of you who new to my blog, I want to asked you something. Do you remember those old games that you play in your childhood, or the games that that was released in the 90s? Those games from the console that perhaps you play from your friend's house? Compare to current games, you remember the graphics of the games right? Yes, it have pixel-like graphic. The character of objects and those game look like a building blocks. So here, you are going to find an article that look like a review about video games that was released in this era but with old school graphics.

Alright, before we are going to enter into a particular games discussion, let's learn a little bit what is pixel-art graphics. If you already know it? you can skip this part. But for those of you who want to know, keep reading. So, what is pixel-art graphic video games? What is it pixel-art actually? Well, pixel-art is an art such as drawing that come in the form of a digital drawing where the image or the picture edited by using a software on the pixel level. Pixel-art graphic video games was originally created for the majority of 8-bit and 16-bit computers and video game consoles. The graphics also mainly used in some of other limited system such as graphic calculators. The term of Pixel-art was originally introduced for the first time by two guys from Xerox Alto Research Center named Adele Goldberg and Robert Flegal. The term was introduced in 1982. Alright, enough with the introduction. Let's begin talking about some of those pixel-art video games. Here I will give you the link to download the game. DASH QUEST

DASH QUEST is a video game that was offered by Tiny Titan Studios. This video games was offered for free to download but it also offered in-app purchase where you can buy some items in order to help you play the game. The latest update of this video game was on February 21, 2018. So as this article posted, the game just got an update yesterday. The minimum system requirement of this video games is quite hight, your android device must be at least version 4.1 which is "ice cream sandwich". The game got quite good review from the user, it got 4.6 out of 5. Not bad for a pixel-art video games.

In term of the gameplay, you will play the game in scrolling like video games where the hero will keep running in a map and fight against enemies on the way. There are a couple skills that you can use to destroy the enemies. These skills include releasing magic, defense and attack with a weapon. To attack with weapon, you can tap on the right side, the left side on the other hand is used to release shield to defend yourself from enemy attack. To release magic attack, you need to hold the right side, the magic weapon will be bigger as how long you hold the right side.

In the game, there also items that will help you attack enemies easily. These items include bombs, magic arrow, and some other skills. You can acquire these items by destroying an enemy or you will just found in the road. The game will be played in several maps. These retro inspired video games will make the player play the character in an endless run while fighting a hordes of enemies. At the end of each level, there will be a boss to battle in order to proceed to the next level. The character can also be upgraded with some gears, spells, skills, and even pets. The Last Viking

The Last Viking is a video game that was offered by Springloaded Ltd. This video game belong to the genre of role playing video games. It is also offered with free to download with an in-app purchase system. The latest update of the game in google play store is on February 13, 2018. In term of the system requirement, your android device need to have the os of android version 3.0 at the minimum. The review that it got from the user is quite good, it is the same as Dash Quest above where it got 4.6 stars out of 5.

The Last Viking was selected as the best of video games that was release in 2016 from Google Play's Best video games. The video game offered a lot of features as well. The Last Viking has a simple, addictive and innovative gameplay. This video game got some good comment from 148Apps which they said that The last viking video games is a super cute video games and also have the look like the game is quite a bit of fun to play both in online or offline mode. The game will be played in viking era where your viking character will go on an adventure by sailing a dangerous seas with the objective to pillage the villages and bring back glory to the viking people.

In term of the gameplay, the player need to build their own army, boats, heroes, and weapons in order to fight with a mythical creatures which onslaught and attacks the villages. There are many kind of creatures that the player need to face including dragons, hydras, and many more. In the game, the player also need to collect items and the heroes also can be upgraded to become more powerful.
