Dungeon Boss #2 - Tower of Pwnage
Hi everyone,
since day 2 of the Dark Festival didn't put us in front of any problems in terms of difficult quests, I would like to introduce you to my way of solving the Tower of Pwnage (no typo btw).
For all of you not that familiar with Dungeon Boss, the Tower of Pwnage is a daily repeatable rewards quest, you can earn the premium currency of the game solving it. This is normally done in about 9-12 minutes depending of the difficulty of your opponents. The Tower of Pwnage consists of 12 floors = fights and is generally a must have for serious Dungeon Boss players, because you can earn 275 gems on a daily basis. This is giving you 8250 gems monthly, worth around 25 € / 30 $ in premium currency, if you would have to buy those.
Let's start:
My general setup is using the heroes Shadowblade, Shade, Hopper and Dagrund, exactly in this order. Having fast heroes here is critical. Having Shade in here is also critical, due to his passive ability Dark Shroud, which protects all dark heroes (and each hero of our roster is a dark hero) from debuffs, such as freezing.
The most important thing to do now, is beating the opponent's heroes in the right order. From left to right and fast to slow. It is important that our three fast heroes defeat everything harmful before it's our opponent's turn to fight back.
I start with floor 2 of the tower and I will tell you why this is at the end of this guide. Our opponent doesn't have any fast heroes, therefore we go from left to right and try to kill the green, then the red and then the blue hero first, like shown in the next screenshot.
The next floor, again offers no fast opponent's heroes, therefore again left to right, starting with the red, then blue, red, blue. If there is a slow hero in the opponent's roster you can ignore it in case she/he isn't to harmful. We have an example of a harmful one on the next floor.
Again, this was no real problem for us. The 4th floor now is a little bit trickier than before, since we are facing three fast heroes in the opponent's roster, followed by slow Lord Zomm.
The first fast hero of our enemy will attack first, therefore we can ignore it at this point and will attack the second hero, the yellow one, followed by the dark one. Third will be Lord Zomm because he resurrects the other heroes, if he survives or first round of attacks.
Since floor 5,6,7 and 8 were quite similar on my walkthrough, we jump to floor 9.
Unfortunately, the previous floor damaged one of my starting heroes to an extent, I would not survive a fast attack in the first round of the upcoming floor. In this situation we have to swap towards a team, that can beat the floor as well, like this one:
On floor 10 something strange happened - I lost my dear healer Dagrund :(
So I had to replace him for this beautiful lady (mid-bottom of the screen) to solve floor 11 (the two red opponents first).
As all Dungeon Boss players know, floor 12 isn't an obstacle at all, enjoy your rewards :)
So one questions remains: Why did I start on the second floor. This is because I always restart the tower after I solved it in order to have one rolling tower run available. Maybe this is only useful for advanced players, but it keeps me from doing the tower twice a day, which would lead to have to pause for one day. But maybe this is my personal taste.
Enjoy playing & follow me for more guides on Dungeon Boss, if you find this helpful. As always, if there are questions about the game, feel free to drop a comment.
